FBI art detective to share tales

Art detective Robert Wittman recovered more than $300 million in stolen art and cultural property during his 20 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and you can hear tales from his career Oct. 16 at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.

In his 7 p.m. talk, hosted by the Kalamazoo Art League and titled Priceless: True Tales from the FBI’s Real Indiana Jones, Wittman will share stories of notorious heists and daring undercover recoveries. A reception with Wittman will follow his presentation, and copies of his bestselling book, Priceless: How I Went Undercover to Rescue the World’s Stolen Treasures, will be available for purchase and signing.

The cost to attend his talk is $10 for KIA members, $12 for nonmembers, $3 for students and free for Art League members.
