Do you have a favorite sweater or pair of jeans that’s ripped or damaged, but you love it too much to get rid of it? Come learn the creative magic of visible mending–the textile art of highlighting and beautifying imperfections in fabrics rather than covering them up or throwing them away. We will go over simple stitching and patching techniques as well as Japanese sashiko (“simple stabs”) and how to darn fabric using a tiny loom! Bring anything you’d like to visibly mend or just yourself—fabric and materials will be supplied.
