Transformative Change at the Intersection of Gender, Race, and Sexuality – History and Cultural Narratives

March 27 at 10:00 am

Join us for this 3 part interactive virtual learning series that will provide a cultural and historical look at LGBTQIA+ rights.; explore cultural narratives that impact the lives of those identifying as LGBTQIA+, with a specific focus on those racially marginalized; and identify equity strategies for interrupting harmful cultural narratives internally and institutionally to create transformative change. Ideally, participants will register separately for all 3 sessions and attending less than 2 session is not recommended.

This session specifically will define gender and sexuality terms; make connections between LGBTQIA+ rights through the years and current cultural narratives; and explore strategies for resisting harmful narratives.

ONEplace will email participants the zoom link the week before the training. Contact ONEplace@kpl.gov if you have any questions.

Presented by Dana “Great Dane” Hudson
