Join us for this 3 part interactive virtual learning series that will provide a cultural and historical look at LGBTQIA+ rights.; explore cultural narratives that impact the lives of those identifying as LGBTQIA+, with a specific focus on those racially marginalized; and identify equity strategies for interrupting harmful cultural narratives internally and institutionally to create transformative change. Ideally, participants will register separately for all 3 sessions and attending less than 2 session is not recommended.
This session specifically will define and discuss equity, power, privilege, and oppression; explore individual socialization and the connections to internalized oppression; and discuss ways to identify and interrupt internalized oppression
ONEplace will email participants the zoom link the week before the training. Contact ONEplace@kpl.gov if you have any questions.
