What’s Up, I Can’t Read: Literacy and Community with Oliver James

Note: This event is for Kalamazoo Literacy Council students only, and is not open to the public.

Oliver James will host a group reading at the Kalamazoo Literacy Council for adult learners. He will share his reading journey with local adult readers, both before and after his rise to social media success. Following this presentation, Oliver will sit down for individual/small group discussions with KLC’s adult learners. Kalamazoo adult readers will have this opportunity to share their own stories with Oliver in return. Together, Oliver and KLC readers will identify shared experiences and exchange stories of success, discuss pride in their collective progress over time discuss the unique role community and collective support can create for learning and healing.
