A new club for middle and high schoolers to promote literacy and freedom of expression through the celebration of banned books. Teens aged 11-18 are invited to attend a monthly book club with a parent or caregiver to discuss the books, the importance of making and keeping space to express oneself, eat snacks, and fun activities. Each registrant will receive two copies of the assigned reading to keep, one for the teen and one for the adult! We hope to build conversations between generations to create a stronger community.
Each session will hold the first hour for middle schoolers starting at 3 pm, then the second hour for high schoolers starting at 4 pm.
Pickups are available for materials on the 1st of each month at the Teen Desk at the Central Branch. Registration required.
