Parade of Homes returns

Dying to see the latest in homebuilding design and trends? You can do so either in person or virtually at this year’s Parade of Homes, presented by the Home Builders Association of Western Michigan.

Nearly a dozen homes will be on display Aug. 5–8 and Aug. 12–14, ranging in size from 1,400 to more than 5,000 square feet. One home, at 1015 Albert Ave., was built as part of the Kalamazoo Attainable Homes Partnership — a collaboration of the Home Builders Association, Kalamazoo Neighborhood Housing Services and the Local Initiatives Support Corp. aimed at building quality, attainable homes in Kalamazoo’s underserved neighborhoods.

Hours to tour the homes in person are 6–9 p.m. Aug. 5, 6, 12 and 13; 1–7 p.m. Aug. 7 and 14; and 1–5 p.m. Aug. 8. Tickets are $8 and available at Harding's Markets and Lake Michigan Credit Union branches as well as online at kalamazoohomepage.com/paradetickets.

Virtual tours are free and will be posted online Aug. 5, with live links until the 2022 Parade. For more information, visit kalamazoohomepage.com.
